Police arrest two after mass stabbing on train in Cambridgeshire

Armed police in Britain have arrested two men after a mass stabbing attack on a train in eastern England. Police were called to Huntingdon station in Cambridgeshire, where the train made an emergency stop after passengers alerted the crew. Ten people were taken to hospital, nine with life-threatening injuries. Prime Minister Keir Starmer described it as “an appalling incident.”
Also in the programme: Afghanistan’s women’s national football team has reunited for the first time since 2021 — in Morocco — to take part in a FIFA tournament, the Women’s Series. The competition marked the team’s first appearance together since the Taliban’s return to power forced them into exile and banned women’s sport in Afghanistan.
