I think Coleman will walk away from Wales – Hartson
Former Wales striker John Hartson believes Chris Coleman will step down as national team manager following their failure to qualify for the World Cup.
Wales were beaten 1-0 in Cardiff by the Republic of Ireland with Martin O’Neill’s side taking their place in the play-offs for Russia 2018.
Despite the defeat, Hartson says Coleman has been “Wales’ most successful manager”, having led the team the semi-finals of the European Championship in 2016.
Hartson, who won 51 caps for his country, said: “I don’t think he’ll be short of offers.I think he’s lined up for a big job if that’s what he wants to do."
