Des Lynam recalls Sir Peter O'Sullevan's sense of humour
Des Lynam tells a funny story about when him and Sir Peter O'Sullevan went to go and watch brandy being made.
An icon in the sport, O'Sullevan commentated on 50 Grand Nationals and around 14,000 races before retiring in 1997.
"We watched the brandy being made and watched these muscular men making the barrels," he told Mark Pougatch.
"Sat back on the plane, Peter said to me 'you know Des, after a period of time I could probably learn to fly ones of these things...but I could never lift one of those effing barrels.'"
