Clare Balding pays tribute to Sir Peter O'Sullevan

Clare Balding pays tribute to the former BBC racing commentator Sir Peter O'Sullevan.

An icon in the sport, O'Sullevan commentated on 50 Grand Nationals and around 14,000 races before retiring in 1997.

Speaking to Mark Pougatch, Balding said: "He was very much the professional, he knew a story when he saw it and he knew how to tell it."

"He was the soundtrack of our sport...he carried on at a level for 50 years; 50 grand nationals he commentated on. It's staggering."
