The Longest Day-D-day +60
A paratrooper of US 82nd Airborne returns to the
beaches of Normandy. He wasn't sure what he would
find there but was heartened to see that, far from
being forgotten, there are many tributes and commemorations
to those who fought and died. |

A Personal Account of D-Day
Stanley Burrows was refused permission to leave Harland
and Wolf to join up but Stanley hatched a cunning
plan to get sacked. It's
with great sadness that we have to update this story
with the news that following a short illness, Stanley
Burrows passed away, peacefully, on the 2nd of October
2004.
