Watch: Horse injured as it tries to escape dog
The moment a horse was injured as it tried to jump a field gate to escape being chased by a dog has been captured on CCTV.
Three horses were in the field near the A10 in Little Thetford, Cambridgeshire, when a dog gave chase on Monday, causing one of them to be injured jumping a five-bar metal gate as it attempted to flee.
Charlotte Mitchell, the horse's owner, said: "The one that got attacked as well as chased is an ex-racehorse, she is 20-years-old with mobility issues, she doesn't jump anymore... but that just shows you when you need survival you can do anything."
Cambridgeshire Police confirmed the incident was reported as a "dogs worrying livestock incident" and added its investigation was ongoing.
