'You can't get more luck than that': Couple celebrate second £1m lottery win

A couple have beaten extraordinary odds to win a million pounds on the National Lottery for a second time.

Richard Davies and Faye Stevenson-Davies, who celebrated their first win seven years ago, say their latest Lotto windfall was due to a series of Lucky Dip rollover wins on their ticket. When a lottery player chooses to play a 'lucky dip' the numbers are randomly chosen for them.

"Technically it wasn't my numbers [that won]," says Mr Davies. On the chances of winning again he acknowledges "you couldn't get any more luck than that".

The odds of the couple winning both the EuroMillions Millionaire Maker in 2018 and then five numbers and the bonus ball this year are over 24 trillion to one, according to experts at Allwyn, operator of the National Lottery.

The pair, from Brecon, have no plans to quit their jobs in the run-up to Christmas. Mr Davies said he will continue to work seven days a week as a courier while Ms Stevenson-Davies, a mental health worker, will offer support to her clients throughout the festive period.
