Six people have been charged in connection with reports of 75 burglaries that took place over 20 months.

Suffolk Police said the alleged offences were widespread across London and the home counties, happening between February 2018 and September 2019.

A large amount of suspected stolen goods was found when almost 100 officers raided a caravan site in Red Lodge, near Newmarket, in October 2019.

Three men and a woman, all aged between 28 and 45 and from London and Warwickshire, were due to appear at Ipswich Crown Court on 19 January.

Cambridgeshire Police and the Metropolitan Police, which found stolen items linked to the burglaries in London, have supported the investigation.

Two other men, aged 29 and 25, were charged and bailed, but warrants have been issued for their arrest after they failed to attend a court hearing.

Each defendant was charged with conspiracy to commit burglary with intent to steal.
