Police were called to Fleet Road in Aldershot shortly after 06:30 BST on Wednesday

A man has been released by police after he was arrested following a fatal crash which killed two pedestrians.

The men, 76 and 77, were struck by a Skoda Fabia on Fleet Road in Aldershot, Hampshire, shortly after 06:30 BST on Wednesday.

A 66-year-old man, from Wokingham, Berkshire, was arrested on suspicion of driving while unfit through drink or drugs and causing death by careless or inconsiderate driving.

Hampshire police said he has been released pending further inquiries.
