The Bradford Art Show runs until 21 December at Loading Bay

Artworks created by more than 100 people in Bradford have gone on display as part of a pop-up gallery's final exhibition.

Bradford Art Show opened at the Loading Bay on Saturday and will run until 21 December as Bradford's UK City of Culture year comes to an end.

It is part of the Our Turn festival and showcases 124 works by 105 artists.

Curated by Dr Kerry Harker, the works for the exhibition were selected from an open call inviting anyone in the city, whether professional or people creating art for the first time, to submit work responding to the theme of Our Place.

Dr Harker said: "It has been an absolute pleasure to curate an exhibition that shines a light on such a wide range of artworks.

"From film and photography to painting and printmaking, Bradford Art Show brings together a truly exciting collection of work that recognises local people's experiences and creative voices."

It was a "fantastic showcase of visual arts" from across the city, she added.

Bradford Art Show is the final scheduled exhibition at Loading Bay, a venue repurposed from a former Marks & Spencer warehouse.

Over the past year the venue's events have attracted over 35,000 visitors, according to the Local Democracy Reporting Service.

Shanaz Gulzar, Bradford 2025 creative director, said the final exhibition was a "vibrant collection of works".

"We're proud to shine a spotlight on our local talent and invite audiences to discover, enjoy and support the work being made right here in the city and district," she said.
