Two teenagers who died after a car crashed into a tree have been named locally.

A white Tesla car crashed on Holland Road, near Oxted, close to the junction with Popes Lane, in the Hurst Green area, shortly before 22:00 GMT on Saturday. One person was pronounced dead at the scene, and another died later in hospital, Surrey Police said.

The victims are understood to be Jenson Seal and Jake Neaves.

A 30-year-old man from Oxted was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and causing serious injury by dangerous driving.

A third teenager, who has not yet been named, remains in hospital with "life-threatening injuries", a police spokesperson said.

The driver of the Tesla was also taken to hospital with serious injuries, they said.

Holland Road was closed between the Popes Lane junction and the junction with Warren Lane while officers carried out enquiries on Sunday.

Police have urged witnesses and anyone with relevant dashcam footage to get in contact with them.
