Body found in river during search for missing woman

Police searching for a missing 79-year-old woman said a body had been found in a river.

Norfolk Police said members of the public made the discovery in the River Yare at Cringleford on Saturday afternoon.

The force said formal identification had not yet taken place, but the family of Jill Grint, reported missing on Friday from the Earlham area of Norwich, had been informed.

The death is not believed to be suspicious. A file will be prepared for the coroner, police added.
