Gas customer services centre to return to island
PA MediaA call centre service for gas customers in the three crown dependencies is set to be reopened on the Isle of Man next year, the provider has confirmed.
The Islands Energy Group, which is the monopoly gas provider for the Channel Islands and the Isle of Man, said the new centre would serve all three islands and create 12 local jobs.
The new call services, set to open in spring 2026, would replace those provided by a team in Scotland for the past two years.
It follows the recent re-establishment of a face-to-face customer services two years after its public counter closed to Manx customers.

Managing director of the group's subsidiary Isle of Man Energy – formerly known as Manx Gas – previously said that move followed feedback from customers.
Some 60% of Manx customers managed their accounts online, and the latest change would also mean "removing additional phone charges" for those who chose not to, the firm said.
