Man in 'critical condition' after attack near pub
BBCA man suffered serious injuries during an attack outside a pub in Coventry.
Emergency services were called to Allesley Old Road, near to The Four Provinces pub, after 21:00 GMT on Saturday.
A man in his 30s was taken to hospital where he remained in critical condition, said West Midlands Police.
A 30-year-old man arrested on suspicion of assault has since been bailed pending further inquiries.
The force is appealing to the public to help its investigation.
Det Insp Sherrie Kimberley said: "We know there were a lot of people inside and outside the pub that may have seen what happened.
"We want to hear from you, if we haven't already.
"If you were driving on Allesley Old Road and have dash cam footage [of] the incident, please contact us."
West Midlands Ambulance Service said two ambulances were sent to the scene. Paramedics found the man "seriously injured" before taking him to hospital.
