We look at the trauma
faced by the Midlands families with no news about loved ones caught up in the
South Asia earthquake. In the aftermath of the October 8 earthquake
disaster, money and support are desperately needed to help the victims of the
crisis. Help is also needed to assist those still living in the worst-hit
areas of Pakistan to get back on their feet. Ashley Blake reports on how
the disaster 4,000 miles away has affected the thousands of Asians living in the

Birmingham taxi driver Liakat Ali tells how he helped recover the body
of an 18-year-old man from the ruins of a mosque brought down in the earthquake,
which happened while he was visiting family in Pakistan. We hear about the
school where 90 per cent of the pupils originate from the disaster zone, and look
at the fundraising efforts they are making.
And we find out about the
UN rescue mission co-ordinated by West Midlands fire crews, which has saved over
