Concert Information

CANCELLED
Unfortunately conductor Andrew Griffiths has been taken ill at short notice so this concert has been cancelled. Please contact the Barbican box office for further details.

Andrew Griffiths conducts the BBC Singers in a programme of choral music for Passiontide from Eastern Europe.

Paweł Łukaszewski’s complex Tenebrae Responses and Stravinsky’s exquisite Otche nash feature in this concert celebrating music by Czech composers and those from neighbouring countries, and Leoš Janáček’s stunning setting of Byron’s Ave Maria and Bohuslav Martin’s Romance of the Dandelions add a non-liturgical touch.

Hear more Czech music performed by the BBC Symphony Orchestra and Czech conductor Jiří Bělohlávek at 7.30pm in the Barbican Hall. Click the link below for further details. Ticket holders for the BBC Symphony Orchestra performance can claim discounted tickets for this BBC Singers at Six concert.
