New and classic tracks from established artists, young groups and unsigned bands
What a coup for Loxfest – and The Archers. Archers super-fan Steve Lamacq has invited a few Ambridge residents to appear on BBC Radio 6 Music’s Roundtable: Archers special this Thursday 21st August.
Since Elizabeth Pargetter agreed to trust Roy Tucker's vision and stage Loxfest, Steve Lamacq and BBC Radio 6 Music have been keen to suggest a few acts to appear. Now Steve's also keen to pick the musical brains of a few of our stars.
In a Roundtable Archers Special, Our very own Ed Grundy, Fallon Rogers and PC Harrison Burns (aka Barry Farrimond, Joanna Van Kampen and James Cartwright) will listen to a selection of music tracks and give their opinion, as well as a score, for each. Then they'll hear a few tracks from a new album and share their thoughts. Steve will also talk to the actors about their Archers roles and personal music tastes.
Will any of the confirmed Loxfest acts be on Steve's list?
The Midnight Walkers aren't the only act limbering up for a set at Loxfest (they're up on Friday - opening night). We’re delighted to have Slow Club onboard. Luke Sital-Singh is clearly delighted to be playing as well. He's been on Twitter to tell his followers about it.
