Across The Line

Jetplane Landing frontman and Smalltown America Records boss, Andrew Ferris, joined Rigsy to talk about some new music worth hearing.

Jananese Popstars - No Music

Andrew: 'They are the exemplars of how it should be done...They played after us (Jetplane Landing) at Glasgowbury this year and it was a bit of a game changer really. They can play with any soundsystem. They've got it. Whatever "it" is, they've got it.

September Girls - Heartbeats

Andrew: '...The way in which they hold themselves is quite unique, I think, for an irish band. It's clear that they've developed their craft through many other acts and I think maybe next year is their moment to shine'

Big Grizzly - Drogue

Rigsy: 'Great, great track'

Andrew: 'I like the girl, boy interplay'

Operator Habit - Jah Love Feat., Kojak

Rigsy: 'It's a producer from Crossgar...this is just so so good that I was completely won over and really wanted to play it

Andrew: 'It's the sort of thing that needs to be heard at incredible volume I think to really feel it and it's obviously been put together by someone who clearly knows the genre inside out and really knows what they're doing.

Winter Aid - The Wisp Sings

Andrew: 'It's Just really gorgeous isn't it..this is the guy who is responsible for the Torture Garden Blog'.

Denzil AKA - All Flows Wrong

Andrew: 'This is just my bag, I think it's real sub-90's kind of stuff, it's super cool, really good'

Deadlights - Glass Houses

Rigsy: '4 guys from Lisburn who have been making music for around 5 years...beautifully shot live take of this track, searchable on Youtube.

Andrew: 'Those guys are pretty tight...it's really cool actually, it's really nice'.
