New Pagans return with single and video

New Pagans have released their 3rd song in as many years. ‘It’s Darker’ was born from an argument at a party that left singer Lyndsey angry, and that anger remains throughout this three and half minute pop-rock song. There’s a lot going on, with rising, falling bass intertwining with the guitar leads, rather than following them. Lyndsey has a wonderful ability to spit angry lyrics while making them sweet and sultry.

The accompanying video flashes 16mm recordings of religious imagery and rain-soaked greenery as smoke fills a screen that flickers and distorts, leaving us with an empty stage. It’s a promising return for New Pagans that has us hoping it’s not another year before the next one.
