‘My teacher picked this cover because he liked it, because I think he said it was plain, compared to most of my others. I also did a cover for fun, which was Ed, El Policia, & Rizzle Kicks with a hint of Darth Vader. I was gonna actually make that, get all 3 band’s songs and John William’s soundtrack in one CD (Hehe). I picked the black & white effect because Ed said he wanted to look like a regular person, not someone glossy, so the black and white effect symbolised his thoughts by making him not really colourful, but that goes against his personality, which is colourful. Also, he said he was wearing chalk(?) so I used the white effect. First was the top-left picture; this is because everyone has a dream, so I sorta thought that he was sleeping and dreaming, or even just daydreaming. I actually put that picture there because it looked good, so I made this up on the spot, but to be honest I am pleased with myself. Next was the bottom-left; Ed said “If you don’t know where you have been, you don’t know where you’ve been,” so I had this image to symbolise him looking away, questioning where Ed’s been. The large picture, under my opinion, symbolises Ed’s “I wanna be a regular guy,” as it doesn’t show much glam, and it also shows his colourful personality by showing what looks like the candy bracelet from his Mum.’
