Drivers were warned about conditions on the roads
Heavy snow has brought travel misery to the north east of Scotland and closed dozens of schools.
The snow has affected many higher level routes, with drifts leading to poor visibility on many rural roads, and drivers were urged to take care.
In Aberdeen, the commute to work took far longer than usual.
In Aberdeenshire, 60 schools were closed or partially closed. Details of the schools affected are available on Aberdeenshire Council's website.
