Mr Prodi still has a tough job to keep his coalition together

Italian PM Romano Prodi has easily won a confidence vote in the lower house, keeping his centre-left coalition in power after a week-long crisis.
The vote in the Chamber of Deputies was 342-253 in favour of Mr Prodi.
He had offered to resign 10 days ago after communists in his own coalition voted against his foreign policy, especially the mission in Afghanistan.
On Wednesday, he won a confidence vote in the Senate, where he has a one-seat majority. It saved his coalition.
Opposition leader Silvio Berlusconi has said his centre-right coalition will support Mr Prodi's government in a vote on Afghanistan.
Parliament is to decide whether to extend funds to keep Italy's 1,800 peacekeepers in Afghanistan until 2011.
All nine parties in the ruling coalition have signed up to a binding agreement on the government's policies, but there are still disagreements on several key ones.
