Hundreds of competitors are taking part in the Mountain Biking World Cup at Fort William.
Three competitions - the downhill, four cross and cross country - are being held on Saturday and Sunday.
An estimated 10,000 fans were expected to watch the 400 competitors from 31 countries over the weekend.
Event organiser Paddy Cuthbert said the competitors and spectators had enjoyed Saturday's conditions.
"The weather has been absolutely unbelievable, it's been bright sunshine all day," he said.
"It was raining earlier in the week so it's great because the track has dried out.

"For all involved, it's been more pleasant to have it dry."
Music and street theatre have also been laid on over the weekend, while spectators were able to meet the riders at a temporary village established at the Nevis Range Ski Centre.
Highland Council contributed £20,000 towards this year's event.
Councillor Olwyn Macdonald said: "We are absolutely thrilled to be hosting such a major sporting event for the second year running.
"It is the biggest spectator sport event to be held in our area and we will do everything we can to persuade the organisers to make this an annual event.
