A man from East Sussex described as a "lovely and talented father" has been named as the 150th British victim of the 2004 Boxing Day tsunami.

The family of Robert Adamson, of Stone Cross, near Eastbourne, who was a keen traveller, contacted police to report him missing last October.

His body was identified from dental records by the Thai ID Commission.

Daughter Sara, 17, who has two younger brothers, said her father loved to travel the world, especially Thailand.

In a statement, she said her father was very well loved, especially by his three children.

"He was an intelligent and also a very talented man.

"My father was a lovely person, understanding and reasonable. He helped me and my brothers whenever we needed him.

"My dad was like my best friend... He will be dearly missed by all his family and friends."

Sgt Dave Price, of Sussex Police, said the inquiry had started out as a normal missing persons investigation, but had come to a "tragic conclusion".

"It is very sad for all concerned," he said.
