The volunteers are recalling 50 years of service

The work of a dedicated group of volunteers who set out to clear litter from the Lake District is being marked.
Exactly 50 years ago, the first voluntary warden service group gathered to deal with the litter problem that was beginning to blight the area.
On Sunday a group of volunteers will meet local ranger Steve Gaskell at White Cross Common, near Rydal.
The volunteer service covers more than 7,000 tasks every year including conservation work and survey work.
Other projects include patrolling rights of way and leading guided walks.
Lake District National Park Authority manager Sara Clarke said: "Sunday's work party promises to be a really memorable occasion, recalling a half century of past service and looking forward to a new era of volunteering."
This year's 50th birthday celebrations have included a 159-mile walk around the National Park Boundary, the launch of an anniversary book and a commemorative hedge planting.
