'No permission' for Danielle film trip
Danielle Jones
Danielle's body has never been found
The man accused of murdering Essex teenager Danielle Jones took her to see a film called "What Women Want" without her mother's permission, a court has heard.

Stuart Campbell, 44, of Grays in Essex denies abducting and murdering his niece in June last year.

Prosecutors say he was having an inappropriate relationship with the 15-year-old, and had become obsessed with her.

Danielle's mother Linda Jones told Chelmsford Crown Court on Tuesday she would not have given permission for her daughter to see the film.

Text message

She also said she had found an obscene poem written by Danielle, and had written her daughter a note to say she did not want to find such things again.

Mrs Jones said Mr Campbell had not told her Danielle had sent him a text message of the poem.

Orlando Pownall, prosecuting, said: "Would you have liked him to have said he received a message like this from Danielle?"

Mrs Jones, 42, replied: "Yes."

Last week, Mrs Jones wept as she told the court of the last time she saw here daughter.

Danielle went missing in June last year after setting off from her home in Tilbury, Essex to catch a school bus.

Her body has never been found.

The trial continues.
