Finalists (l-r) Rachel Stevens, Vincent Simone, Camilla Dallerup, Tom Chambers, Lisa Snowdon and Brendan Cole, pictured during rehearsals, lined up for the finale of Strictly Come Dancing 2008.
Losing finalist Snowdon and her dance partner Cole practise during dress rehearsals for the final. They were the first to be voted off the show despite getting perfect marks from the judges.
Stevens and Simone were saved by the public vote to go head-to-head with former Holby City star Chambers and his professional partner Dallerup.
People's champion John Sergeant and partner Kristina Rihanoff returned to perform during the final show, as did other contestants from this year's series.
Chambers and Dallerup are strictly serious as they focus on the job at hand - winning. They performed a lively final 'freestyle' routine to take the title.
Chambers and Dallerup enjoy the winning moment. They were the bookies' favourites going into the final.
Chambers thanked his new wife Clare for her support. The couple married during the series and put their honeymoon on hold so he could take part.
Host Bruce Forsyth congratulated Chambers who told his tearful partner Dallerup she deserved the victory more than anyone. She has previously been in two semi-finals.
