Russian fleet loses Crimean facilities
The Russian Black Sea fleet has been ordered by a Crimean court to hand over to Ukraine a number of radio navigation systems, survey facilities and a navigational beacon. The order by the Economics Court of the Crimean autonomous republic was in partial support of a demand from the Ukrainian prosecutor general's office for an end to what it called Russia's illegal possession of the facilities on Crimea's west and south-west coasts. Correspondents say the case may be taken to appeal. From the newsroom of the BBC World Service |
