Jade Goody a smile that belies reality
|
Hello again...
I can't believe there is anyone in Britain who has not been disturbed and unsettled by the story of Jade Goody.
The tabloids began by painting her as a pantomime villain.
But when they realised the nation had taken her to its heart, they quickly changed their tune.
On Sunday, she will get married.
Her whole life has been a huge media event and this will be no different.
She seems to be prepared to die as publically as she has lived.
Cancer Tsar
Mike Richards: a challenging post to hold
|
This is a terrible disease.
It affects millions of families and this weekend, the Politics Show will be talking to England's National Director for Cancer, Mike Richards.
We want to know what you want to know.
Are survival rates improving? Do your chances of recovery depend on which part of the country you live in? What more can be done to diagnose the disease early and stop it in its tracks?
We'll also be asking why the government sits on nearly £5bn of unclaimed benefits that could improve the lives of millions of elderly people.

Max Cotton is off to Brussels to meet the leader of the Green Party, Caroline Lucas.
Paola Buonadonna is on the trail of restaurants which don't pass on tips to their waiting staff.
And on the day that Gordon Brown calls for an end to 100% mortgages, we'll have an exclusive interview with his City Minister, Lord Myners.
That's all on the Politics Show, BBC One, on Sunday at noon.
