Jaroslaw Kaczynski, leader of Poland's main opposition Law and Justice Party, has visited the site of the plane crash in Smolensk, Russia, where his twin brother died on Saturday.
Lech Kaczynski, the president of Poland, was one of several Polish dignitaries on board the flight.
Poland's army chief, central bank governor, MPs and leading historians were among more than 80 passengers, all of whom died.
The Polish delegation was flying in from Warsaw to mark the 70th anniversary of the Katyn massacre of thousands of Poles by Soviet forces during WWII.
