EU emergency talks on air chaos

EU officials say they hope up to half of the flights across Europe could operate on Monday, giving hope to millions of stranded passengers across the world who have been unable to fly because of the sprawling ash cloud from an Icelandic volcano.

Several European airlines have carried out test flights at high altitudes and reported no problems with volcanic ash.
