New Yorker's mission to keep Yiddish alive

We've all had to schmooze at a party but few people would know the origins of the word.

It is one of a few phrases that have crept into English from Yiddish, a language spoken by Jews in parts of Old Europe and brought to America by immigrants.

With the number of Yiddish speakers dwindling the last secular bookshop in New York is facing closure by the end of this year.

In this first person account owner Hy Wolfe talks about his mission to keep both the bookshop and his language alive.
